  • Good PowerPoint slides helps the lecturer keep the class organised, structured and moving at a good pace. With virtual or online classes, keeping students focused is even more of a challenge, so having a good PowerPoint presentation design will help you stay in command of the students' attention.

      Please use this template to introduce your unit in the first session.

    • PIA Topic Powerpoint Template Slides File

      Please use this template for your session content. 

      Always end the slides with a summary, any after class activities and link to the next session's content.

      • Font should be: Trebuchet MS
      • Slide title should be in size 35 (where possible)
      • Ideally font should be no smaller than size 20
      • Dean’s guide- max of 20 words per slide where possible. Can use the comments section to expand on slides but have key words or diagrams in the slides themselves
      • Use animation to introduce slide content gradually, make use of circling elements or keywords where possible.
      • Use visuals, diagrams and colour to create interest
      • No publisher slides
